The Rock River Valley Blood Center is thrilled to announce it will host an unveiling event to celebrate and thank all donors who contributed to funding the purchase of a new state-of-the-art bloodmobile.
Join RRVBC at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25 at the Rock River Valley Blood Center (419 N. Sixth Street, Rockford, IL) as the new bus is unveiled! Every person who donated is invited to enjoy snacks and drinks, hear from community leaders, and be there for the grand bus reveal. This bus will allow RRVBC to serve the community for more than a decade – and it’s all thanks to you!
Since 2000, RRVBC has offered mobile blood drives to the northern Illinois region. Demand over the years for mobile blood drives has increased from 100 per year, to more than 500 per year. As a result, the new bloodmobile will replace its original pink bus which is in its 23rd year of service. Thanks to generous donations from the community, the RRVBC can continue to expand its reach within the region to collect life-saving blood and save more lives. The upgraded bloodmobile will allow RRVBC to be more efficient during blood drives and allow the organization to continue serving the community for more than a decade.
